The Executive is pleased to announce that Grant Carr will be the Quinte Skyhawks new Head Coach for the 2024 season.
Grant served last year as the Offensive Line Coach and will help make the transition seamless moving now into the head coaching role.
After winning multiple KASSAA championships, EOSSAA championships and an OFSSA championship in high school at both Holy Cross and Frontenac in Kingston, Ontario. Grant played both Offensive Guard and Tackle for Bishop’s University Gaiters from 2012-2014. While playing for Bishop’s he was awarded with 2012 Newcomer of the Year, awarded by his coaching staff.
After a brief break post playing career, Grant then started coaching Defensive Line (2019) and Offensive Line (2021) at Holy Cross in Kingston, winning KASSAA in 2019. Grant also served as Offensive Line Coach for the Kingston Grenadiers in 2023 before joining the Skyhawks in that same year.
“Coach Grant’s ability to develop and motivate players, makes him the ideal candidate to guide the Quinte Skyhawks into its next chapter. His coaching philosophy aligns perfectly with the organization’s commitment to excellence both on and off the field,” says President Peter Gabriel.
The Executive would also would like to take a moment and express our sincere thanks to Sean Mellor for all of his handwork and commitment to our program and wish him all the success with his future endeavours both on and off the field.
